Terroir: Very deep soil, moderately calcareous and alkaline with gravelly and silty deposits.
The substrate belongs to the Subsynthem of Agazzano, composed of gravel and mostly sandy-clayey gravel, deriving from alluvial deposits (approximately dating back to 300.000-40.000 years ago).
