Position: Badlands area on the hillside of Castione Baratti.
Exposure: South-West
Altitude: 240-280 meters above sea level
Terroir: Deep silty and clayey soil with a gravel skeleton, very calcareous and alkaline. These soils belong to the geological formation called "Multicolored Clay of Val Samoggia", punctuated by manganese oxide, green and grey marls and white calcareous and marly outcrops. (Cretaceous/Eocene 145-50 millions of years ago).
