Age of the vineyard: 16 years
Position: This vineyard is framed by a dense coppice right under the Guardasone hill, very close to the course of River Enza.
Exposure: North-East
Altitude: 155-160 meters above sea level
Terroir: Deep silty and clay-like soil, very rich in limestone and unaltered gravel in between 80 and 130 cm of depth. The corresponding geologic unit is "Modena" for what concerns the whole substrate: alluvial deposits of gravel and sand, covered by a silty and discontinuous clayey layer (Olocene: from 11.000 years ago until now).
