We are very proud to announce that our still Malvasia “4.0 Rea” has been awarded an amazing Platinum Medal<\/strong> at the International Competition “Decanter World Wine Awards 2022<\/a><\/strong>“! Born in 2004 and now at its 19th edition, the Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA) are the biggest and most influential wine competition in the whole world, boasting a jury composed of the very best experts in the wine field around the globe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among more than 18.000 <\/strong>wines tasted by an International jury, our Rea was placed inside the 0,9%<\/strong> that has been awarded the most prestigious medal, with no less than 97 points out of 100<\/strong>. The tasting profile produced by Decanter says: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“An evolved, honeyed, oxidative nutty wine with plenty of character. The palate is still so fresh, with an enticing mineral component throughout. Fulsome, polished, almost oil-textured stone fruits with a dry chewy finish. An intriguing wine with plenty of interest and distinctive varietal character”.<\/p>

<\/p>Decanter World Wine Awards 2022<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

“4.0 Rea” is a unique wine, produced with manually selected grapes<\/strong> coming from our oldest vineyard<\/strong>, also called “The Tenor’s Vineyard”<\/a>, planted back in 1967 by the tenor Gianni Raimondi, who fell in love with the hill of Guardasone. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The age of the vineyard, toghether with the perfect combination between soil and exposition, create grapes of rare concentration; after a cold maceration<\/strong> in stainless steel tanks, and a 6 months maturation<\/strong> sur lie with b\u00e2tonnage these grapes turn into a surpisingly concentrated wine, full bodied, extremely aromatic and with unique notes that recall dried grapes and fruit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To see this wine’s value recognized at such a high level makes us very proud and most of all happy to bring up the name of our land.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oinoe has not only stood out for its Malvasia: it has indeed obtained two more Bronze medals<\/strong>, respectively awarded to the sparkling Malvasia“<\/a>14. Sabit<\/a>u”<\/a> and to the sparkling Sauvignon Blanc “12.0 M\u00e9los”<\/a>. A great signal for our sparkling wines, that grows stronger and gives us important confirmations. This result is way more than satisfying, especialy for our sparkling Sauvignon, that has recently being receiving more and more attention, seeing a growing interest also from the International consumers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
